The GroomSkull® MAG editorial team

A shaved head is our starting point. Personal style, the things we buy and the ideas we’re sold give us plenty to talk about. GroomSkull® MAG is for men who care about how they look without wanting to turn it into a full-time performance.

Four editorial characters hold the pen: Adrien, Élise, Gabriel and Thomas. Created for the MAG, each has a voice, a set of obsessions and a point of view that carries from one story to the next. The profiles below introduce what makes each voice distinct.

Adrien Valette

Style & appearance

Adrien watches the space between head, beard and collar. He likes an outfit with some character and distrusts charts that claim to dress every man the same way. His territory: proportions, fabrics, glasses and the clothes you already own. A sharp eye, a little wit and things worth trying in front of the mirror.

Élise Marceau

Body & routines

Élise would rather have comfortable skin than a crowded shelf. She looks closely at daily habits, checks health sources and puts extravagant claims in their place. Her voice is calm; her advice gets straight to what helps. She also knows when an article has reached its limit and a professional needs to take over.

Gabriel Morel

Mind & culture

Gabriel is suspicious of big words attached to a haircut. “Masculine”, “brave”, “a new man”: he examines them before letting them through. He writes about other people’s opinions, cultural assumptions and the freedom to make an ordinary choice without turning it into a life lesson. Warm, sceptical and never in a hurry to decide for you.

Thomas Ravel

Choosing well

Thomas checks the replacement-part price before admiring the illuminated button. He wants to know what an object does, what it asks of its owner and when keeping your money makes more sense. Expect calculations, trade-offs and a reasoned opinion. Manufacturer information is labelled as such; any claimed test must have a documented basis.

The spirit of the MAG

A good story leaves you with something: a clearer idea, a better decision, a detail you finally notice. We like a firm point of view, pictures that explain and humour that takes the pressure off. Facts link back to their sources. Style suggestions leave room for taste.

Who publishes the magazine?

GroomSkull® publishes and funds the MAG. When we discuss its products, that connection matters: it does not turn a manufacturer’s specification into an independent test. Articles should be useful without a purchase. Operating instructions and manuals belong in our guides.

Illustrative images, including those made with generative tools, bring an idea to life. They are not evidence of results, customer testimony or on-the-ground reporting. Substantive corrections are noted in the relevant article.

An idea to share or a detail to clarify? Write to the editors and include the article link. We want to hear what you have to say, too.
