Shaving Preparation
Before diving into the action, make sure your razor is fully charged.
Connect it using the supplied USB cable and wait approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes for a full charge. You will know it is ready when the screen displays "FULL 90 min".
Quick tip: Use this time to download our manuals, watch our videos (below), and prepare your skin. A good cleanse and a little warm water will soften your hair, making shaving even more effective.

On the Attack: Mastering the Art of Head Shaving with GroomSkull®
Getting started: To begin, press the power button on your GroomSkull® shaver. A click followed by the motor starting will indicate that it's ready to transform your scalp into a smooth, flawless canvas.
Skull Preparation
Before touching the razor, make sure your scalp is perfectly prepared.
for the moment.
-
Cleaning: Cleanse your scalp with warm water to soften the hair and open the pores. This will allow for a cleaner, smoother cut. (You can use the exfoliating silicone brush included with the Pro+ model.)
- Dampen your scalp: It's advisable to leave your scalp slightly damp before shaving; this will help the blades glide smoothly over your scalp. You can also use a small amount of shaving gel.
- Using a badger hair brush: If you have longer or thicker hair, use a badger hair brush (included with the Pro+ model) to style and prepare it for shaving. This will also help exfoliate the skin, reducing the risk of irritation.
Important: We recommend trimming your hair to 2-3mm before shaving. The Pro+ version of our razor includes a trimmer and 2mm & 3mm combs. The shorter your hair is when you shave, the more efficient the cut will be. Hair that is too long will be counterproductive and will require you to clean your blades mid-shave.
Head Shaving Technique
- Movement and Positioning: Hold your palm firmly towards the shaving head under the base of your GroomSkull® razor and begin at the top of your head. Use smooth, continuous strokes, following the natural shape of your head. It is important to shave in the direction of hair growth to minimize irritation. Feel free to make small circles with your hand.

- Sensitive Areas: Pay particular attention around the ears and the nape of the neck. These areas can be more sensitive and require a light and precise touch.
- Checking and Maintenance: After a few passes, you can rinse the shaver head by immersing it in a small amount of water while it's running to remove the automatically cut hairs. This helps maintain optimal shaver performance. Run your hands over your head to feel for areas that need additional shaving and proceed with careful touch-ups.
After Shaving
-
Cleansing: Once you have finished shaving, clean your scalp with cold water to close the pores and apply a soothing lotion to avoid irritation (Aloe Vera lotion for example).
- Razor Care: Thoroughly clean the head of your GroomSkull® razor under running water and allow it to air dry before storing.
Quick tip: To make cleaning easier, always rotate your razor head in a shallow bath of water in your sink (head down) to remove most of the hair stuck in the blades, then open the blades and finish with a rinse under warm water. You should be able to see through the open blades in front of a mirror.
Chromatic blade opening:
To open the blades of your GroomSkull® razor, follow these steps:
- Before cleaning, make sure to unplug the USB charging cable from your razor and turn the switch to the off position.
- Pinch both sides of each shaving head to lift and open all the shaving heads.
- For the central blade, simply turn it 15 degrees counterclockwise.

After cleaning, to close the shaving heads:
- First, position the small central cutting head towards the slot.
- Turn it 15 degrees clockwise.
- Next, close the edge cutting heads one after the other.

And now, the beard?
- To turn on: Press the switch button. You will hear a satisfying click, indicating that your shaver is ready to go.
- Shaving technique: Move the GroomSkull® razor head in the direction of your beard growth and make straight and alternating movements.
- Sensitive areas: For neck hair, be gentle but firm.
Important reminder: After each use, switch off the razor and cover the blade
with its plastic cover. This will keep your razor in perfect condition for the
next use.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Your GroomSkull® razor is like a sports car, it needs care to stay at its best.
- Cleaning: After unplugging the shaver, open the shaving heads and rinse them under running water. Avoid chemicals, seawater, and hot water above 60°C.
- Drying: Allow your razor to air dry. Do not rub the shaving head with a cloth, as this could damage it.
